As one of the Mayflower Destinations on the National Mayflower Trail, Dartmouth has developed a Mayflower Heritage Trail through the town, with maps, trail markers, interpretation boards and digital app (smartphone) with information points explaining its part in the Mayflower Story. It will link to similar trails being developed in all of the Mayflower Towns across the UK. Although the trail focuses on Dartmouth in C17th, as it was when the Mayflower and Speedwell arrived in 1620, it also highlights the many interesting and under-promoted events in Dartmouth’s history since the 12th century.
