The Classic Channel Regatta is a unique week long international event with a mixture of yacht racing based in Dartmouth, a passage race across the Channel to Paimpol, and racing round an island in Brittany – all with a lively and informal programme ashore which brings together a wonderful gathering of boats and crews.
The 2021 regatta will run from 6-14 July. The fleet of classic yachts will gather in Dartmouth on 6 July for activities in Start Bay. During their stay there will be commemorative events in the town, and included will be a Parade of Sail in the river, so that spectators can admire these magnificent vessels. The yacht will then race to the Channel Islands and on to Paimpol in Brittany where racing will be around the Île de Brêhat. The welcome and hospitality in Paimpol are now legendary and the grande finale will be part of the town’s lively 14 Juillet (Bastille Day) celebrations.
