We are looking for people passionate about Dartmouth to become Mayflower Ambassadors.
As an Ambassador you will spread the knowledge of Dartmouth’s Mayflower Story in the town and community. In 2019 and 2020 you will then have the option of being able to assist our visitors and provide on the ground volunteering at the variety of events that are planned. You will have conversations in the local community about Mayflower 400’s history, cultural projects, and landmarks within the town.
If you’re interested in getting involved this session will give you a flavour of what’s on offer. We will share with you the Mayflower Story as we commemorate 400 years since the sailing of the Mayflower.
You will find out about the events and activities that Dartmouth has created for 2019 & 2020 along with some of the activities of our Compact partners.
We will be running a number of these sessions over the coming month at different times and venues. If the timing of this session doesn’t work for you please check our other sessions.
Mayflower Ambassadors gain an understanding of the Mayflower Story and will be able to:
– Share the Mayflower story
– Promote the events calendar for the Dartmouth Mayflower programme
– Signpost people to Mayflower events and inform them on how they can volunteer at these
– Educate the public and encourage Mayflower being talked about in communities, and places such as; in workplaces, in pubs and supermarkets. Understanding how individuals, organisations, and businesses can get involved
