Further good, albeit slow, progress has been made over the last month.
The fit-out of the interior, and building the masts and rigging is now centre stage. We are delighted that the Dartmouth Stitchery Group (who have also been responsible for our wonderful Mayflower Pennants project) will be taking on the clothing of the 50 mannequins.
Planning is starting on the details of the Exhibition in the Museum – display of the model, interpretation panels, paintings (including a new 1.5 x 1.0 metres painting of Life in Dartmouth in 1620 alongside a copy of the Townsend Map of 1621), interactive screens, etc.
Further pictures and videos of the development of the model can be seen on the Gallery page.
