More images of the progress of the build of the scale model of the Mayflower have been added to the Model Images page of this site. The new pictures show main deck beams fitted, with main deck in teak, with caulking, followed by partially built gratings for main and gun deck hatches. The tiny teak cubes for the gratings are cut by hand, using the jig invented by Graham and Bob, two of our volunteers.
That’s 408 individual teak blocks 8mm square, cut by hand and glued in place!
