On 28 November we held a Reception at the Dart Marina Hotel to celebrate the “laying of the keel” of the scale model of the Mayflower. This gave us the opportunity to thank our generous sponsors and to show off the progress made. We were thrilled to have BBC Spotlight along to find out about our model, chatting to the team and finding out about the plans and current stage of development; they kindly supplied a video clip of the piece broadcast the same evening, which can be seen on the Projects page of this website. The event was supported by the students at South Devon Marine Academy in the workshop hosted by BRNC Dartmouth, and we were pleased to meet our sponsors, including Dart Marina Hotel & Spa and Axminster Tools & Machinery
