Children of the Mayflower, a film commissioned by Marilyn Bird, Arts & Culture project lead for Dartmouth Mayflower 400, and prepared by the Children of Dartmouth. Of the 102 passengers on the Mayflower, 32 were children; the artwork in this film gives a face and identity to these lesser-known Mayflower passengers.
The supporting song is written by Derek Parsons and Keith Myerson from their play “Safe Haven” and performed by Derek and his granddaughter Isobelle, accompanied by Children from Caldicott School in Gwent where Derek’s daughter teaches.
The Dartmouth Rats were made by local children.
