Mayflower 400 is a programme of events on an ambitious scale. It is a platform for an international commemoration of the remarkable relationship between our nations which began with the sailing of the Mayflower on 16 September 1620, followed by the signing of the “Mayflower Compact” on 21 November of that year in Provincetown, Massachusetts, USA.
Dartmouth is one of 11 UK locations, all of which played their part in the voyage of the Separatists in 1620, and are preparing to commemorate this momentous event. The video shows the signing of the “2020 Compact” by all participating towns.
Also involved in the activities will be Leiden in Holland, and Plymouth and Wampanoag in Massachusetts, USA.
Further information on events planned by other locations in the UK and abroad, can be found on the Mayflower 400 UK website.
